Marvel Superheroes has fallen under a few banners recently: Marvel Spider-Man and Marvel Avengers specifically. With multiple sources to draw from, from MCU movies to television cartoons, as well as set designers' imaginations and inspiration from the comics, there are plenty of sets to get excited about. Here we can see the new sets that have just been released as well as a look at things to come for fans of Mark Millar's Old Man Logan comic.
Marvel Superheroes
76140 Iron Man Mech
148 Pieces.
6+
$9.99
Available in January
Iron Man suits up once again, rocking a hardsuit for his hardsuit. These three types of sets draw from the Nexo Knights armor and reflect the character inside. Fortunately/unfortunately, this Iron Man design doesn't reflect his more popular outerwear, the Hulkbuster.
76141 Thanos Mech
152 Pieces.
6+
$9.99
Available in January
While we got a short-legs Thanos minifig in a Mighty Micro set, and a few big-figs over the years, this set has a nice minifig Thanos with helmet and decals. The brick-built Infinity Gauntlet is nice too, though it should be noted that Thanos isn't the only one in the past few decades to wield the gauntlet.
76142 Avengers Speeder Bike Attack
226 Pieces.
6+
$19.99
Available in January
LEGO Marvel Superheroes had yet to give us AIM agents outside of the video games, so the next two sets introduce some new bad guys for your collection. This bike also features classic Thor and a Black Panther straight out of the pages of Fantastic Four #52.
76143 Avengers Truck Take-down
477 Pieces.
7+
$39.99
Available in January
More AIM agents in a larger set featuring Captain America with the new helmet mold and a classic Hawkeye minifig.
76146 Spider-Man Mech
152 Pieces.
6+
$9.99
Available in January
For a bug-themed hero who is pretty strong and fast, Spider-Man is constantly getting vehicle upgrades. Here he gets a suit of spider-armor, which has some pretty cool parts.
76147 Vulture's Trucker Robbery
93 Pieces.
4+
$19.99
Available in January
In the 4+ range, we get a classic Vulture as Spider-Man stops his robbery.
76148 Spider-Man vs. Doc Ock
234 Pieces.
6+
$19.99
Available in January
Spider-Man teams up with Spider-Girl Anya Corazon, a new figure for LEGO, as they fight off classic Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man's 2-in-one arachnid-themed vehicle that splits into two.
76149 The Menace of Mysterio
163 Pieces.
4+
$29.99
Available in January
For the 4+ range we see Ghost Spider return to team up with Spidey against classic Mysterio, a new look after last year's Far From Home sets.
76150 Spiderjet vs. Venom Mech
371 Pieces.
7+
$29.99
Available in January
Venom gets another mech this year, but luckily Spider-Man Noir is there to help in another arachnid vehicle!
76151 Venomosaurus Ambush
640 Pieces.
The creme de la creme of set announcements for this theme, the Venomosaurus and Spider-Buggy are clearly inspired from the Old Man Logan comic, and is sure to be popular among fans not just for the callback but for having Spider-Ham and another chance at an Iron Spider minifig.
That wraps up Marvel Superheroes for the first half of the year. What comics and stories do you want LEGO to draw inspiration from this summer? Sound off in the comments. And be sure to check back for more
