At Toy Fair, LEGO frequently has a large presence in the lobby of the Javits Center where they're promoting whatever they and their license partners decide is the current 'big thing.' This year that big thing was Minions: The Rise of Gru, coming to theaters July 3rd, with LEGO sets appearing on shelves in April. To that end, they had a large collection of 'life size' statues of Minions out for all to see and take pictures of and with. To check them out in all their Minion-y glory, read on!

The statues were definitely impressive to see at first, until you realized that there were only four different ones, just built several times over (and with the orange variants thrown in the front). It's still a lot of bricks and a lot of time, but maybe just a little bit less creativity than it seemed like initially. Let us know what you think of the statues in the Talkback, and make sure you check out all of our other Toy Fair 2020 coverage!
