BrickFete Toronto 2015 was the fifth anniversary of the event and the crew up North celebrated in style. It was a great event with a lot of fun games, discussion, and of course amazing creations. Representatives from LEGO Canada were on hand to talk and listen to the fans. BZPower made it up to Ontario too for the first time, and took some pictures of all the great MOCs. ToroLUG - Talon's Reach
ToroLUG is a local group with a lot of younger members who, rather than build train layouts, build spaceships. Talon's Reach is the big collaborative display they worked up this year, and the creations they came up with were impressive. There were a lot of great ships with a variety of designs and scales, and the space station is pretty awesome too.

BZPower & BioniLUG
For the first time since the event's creation, BZPower and BioniLUG were able to make the trip to Toronto for BrickFete. Most of the MOCs on display were the same as have been seen elsewhere on the convention circuit, but there was a surprise appearance by one of the finalists from the Battle for the Gold Mask competition. The fans and public were excited to see some more diversity and hopefully we can make it back there in the future.

Great Ball Contraption
The familiar faces of the Great Ball Contraption in the United States weren't up in Ontario, but the great loop continued to turn. It was cool to see new and innovative modules that I hadn't seen before, and the machines seemed to run well.

MOCs
Apart from the above, there were a ton of other creations, from trains to massive planes to mosaics, sculptures, and other buildings. The variety and skill in the creations was rather inspiring, and many well-known builders were there to share. While it was a smaller event than some, the quality was top notch.

The AFOLs up North were very welcoming and it was cool to bring Bionicle to a new event in another country. I would definitely recommend anyone in the area to visit the next time the event rolls around, and that goes for any LEGO convention. BrickFete was a lot of fun and certainly worth the trip.
