    BrickUniverse is Heading to Dallas

    BrickFair Virginia is almost upon us, but before we get caught up in all that excitement let's look a bit further into the future. We recently received a press release for BrickUniverse Dallas, an upcoming LEGO Fan Convention being held at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas on November 13th to the 15th. BZPower will be there, and in fact I'm pleased to announce that I'll be one of the featured speakers!     BrickUniverse Dallas FOL Conference

    A Conference for the Serious LEGO Fans

    Irving, TX (July 8, 2015) - BrickUniverse is headed to the Dallas/Forth Worth area! Announcing the BrickUniverse Dallas FOL Conference, an AFOL and TFOL-centric event running alongside the public BrickUniverse LEGO Extravaganza at the Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas on November 13-15.     Even more, we are very pleased to announce our first four confirmed speakers for the Dallas FOL Conference:

    • Nannan Zhang - one of the most prominent members of the LEGO community, LEGO expert Nannan Zhang is a contributor to the LEGO fan blog, The Brothers Brick. He is also the co-host of the massively popular Iron Builder competition and his work has even been featured on Wired.com.
    • Michael Bradford - official LEGO User Group Ambassador of Dallas/Fort Worth LEGO User Group. He was invited exclusively to the annual LEGO financial press conference and visited the LEGO headquarters in Billund, Denmark. He will be giving an insightful session on the LEGO headquarters and the new LEGO Ideas House.
    • Matthew Kay - Co-host of the popular LEGO fan podcast Beyond the Brick. On Beyond the Brick, he has interviewed people like LEGO CEE Team Head Keith Severson, Tim Courtney of LEGO Ideas, and the Beautiful LEGO books' author Mike Doyle -you know, just to name a few.
    • Andrew Bulthaupt - Administrator of BZPower.com, which is one of the largest LEGO fansites on the internet. The site has daily updated news, buzzing forums, and the latest story spoilers. BZPower.com is the place to go for all Bionicle discussions.

    As you can see, we have a diverse and insightful line-up of speakers. Each will give conference attendees a unique perspective into the LEGO community and hobby.
